Customer Review: Easy to use -good first metal detector
I bought this for a teenager to try as a first metal detector. It was easy to put together and is very sensitive. It works well and the teen is thrilled with it. Good first purchase if you are trying to get a first metal detector at an entry level price. the waterproof head is a nice extra which makes treasure hunting at the beach a lot easier.
Customer Review: Metal Detector GC1016A
Purchased the metal detective new and it arrived used with a missing important part. Have called LG Outdoors several times, sent e-mailes and written letters to the company and have been ignored and lied to.They say they will send the part and it never comes. I would strongly suggest to think twice before doing business with this company. Very disappointed. The missing part could have been sent out quickly and easily and this experence could have been very different I have had great service with all products that are direct from Amazon. This in no way reflects on Amazon. Amazon customer service could not be better. LG Outdoors could learn alot from this company.
Many people purchase home security systems solely to protect against burglary. However, sophisticated home monitoring systems can protect against a wide range of risks including: carbon monoxide poisoning, flooding, and freezing temperatures.
Carbon monoxide is an odorless, tasteless, and invisible gas created during the combustion of many fuels.Improperly vented gas stoves, water heaters, or other appliances can leak this dangerous gas into your home. Your family could be sound asleep and have no idea they are inhaling potentially vapors.Carbon monoxide sensors will trigger an alarm if they sense an accumulation of the gas. Adding a carbon monoxide detector to a home monitoring system costs around $125/sensor.
Home security companies can also install and monitor flood detectors. This system detects water flow. If water has flowed through the water line longer than it should have, the alarm will go off. This is a feature to consider if your home has poor plumbing or is on land that is susceptible to flooding.Flood detectors range in price. Some alarm systems will add it on for an extra dollar a month. Others cost between $60-$110 each.
An added protection for you and your home are temperature sensors. Temperature sensors alert the owner when the temperatures are too low or too high. They observe low temperatures to warn when it may be getting to cold, to warn that pipes may freeze. The home security systems that offer temperature sensors offer them for $125 each.
Two way voice communications are another protection offered by home monitoring companies. Although it seem like it is more for convenience, they can also help protect you and your home. These systems function as intercoms within your home. If one person is upstairs and another is downstairs and someone should get injured, have an emergency or witness a fire, the two way voice communications can assist in getting that person attention quickly and efficiently. Two way communications are available with most home security systems.
Home security systems can save not only you and your family, but also your home. And not just from burglary, but also from flood, frozen pipes, carbon monoxide, and other emergencies. Consider all these features when choosing your next security system.
